Who Are We?

Fun facts about me (Alethiea) 

 I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. I moved to Aberdeen, SD in 1998. I am the biological mother of two boys, Ty and Evan but a bonus mom to every kid that I meet. I’m not sure if coffee or cake is my first true love. I honestly love them both equally. Old barns are my jam. My official hashtag is #ibarnhard. I’m pretty sure that I could road trip for the rest of my life and be happy. My alter ego is Wonder Woman. Give this girl a cup of coffee, a slice of cake, and my camera, and I’m pretty sure I become unstoppable. 

I bought my first camera to capture photos of my boys while they were growing up. I started shooting sports photography soon after and fell in love with it.  When Jerome and I fell in love he opened my eyes to the many things that the world of photography has to offer and the rest of the story is writing itself. 

Fun Facts about Jerome

He grew up in Aberdeen, SD. He is the best bonus dad around. Jerome has always been around the arts: theater, music, and visual. His father was a theater professor. He is addicted to Mellow Yellow. At 6’5” he is a great middle hitter on his men’s volleyball team. In his spare time, he makes pottery and teaches classes at our local Parks and Rec. He is a very talented potter. In case you were wondering, we have not recreated the scene to “Ghost” as of yet but it’s on the shortlist. At the age of eight, he was given his first camera by his parents and he has never put one down since.
